Post Lightning Game Recap

cat biting a puppy with a panicked look on its face

This picture was the best I could find to sum up this game.

Ok, that game sucked. I mean, there were moments, glimmers, of the Sharks we saw play the Rangers (after the 1st ten minutes) last game. But just glimmers.

They were slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww.

Passes were not even remotely close to connecting or being crisp.

I find that turnover, while tasty, are not so good in hockey games.

The first line was asleep at the wheel.

Second line wasn't much, if any, better.

The defense was like the anti defense. Missed assignments, sloppy play, not knowing where dudes are on the ice, and no help for Nabby.

Nabby wasn't super great, but his D was killing his chances to make saves. He gets a bit more help and he may have been able to keep the Sharks in the game just a bit more.

Vesce was decent. Ortmeyer kicked it into gear a few times. Those two probably had the best game of any of the Sharks.

That is really all there is to say about this game. It was pretty bad. Sometimes though, you have to fail to figure out how to succeed. Hoping this is the case for the Sharks.

The best part of that tremendously accurate picture is the mouse over caption. "cat biting a puppy with a paniced look on its face" Sums up my feelings quite nicely.
