Flyers post game recap

Ok, so I didn't realize that was Yzerman chewing gum and watching the game from a fancy box in a suit. I'm used to guys in helmets and jerseys. What can I say?

I did feel stupid for totally missing that though. I knew he was an Olympic scout, not just some guy, which has to count for something, right?

Right?

Anyway...

Mina would like to let you all know that, and I quote "Games like this make me happy."

I missed most of the first, but I was able to catch enough on the radio to hear the first Flyers goal.

I got home in time for the second at which point I was filled with fury. I HATE the debate about the ice quality at the Tank. Hate it. I'm not saying it's perfect, or that it was even perfect tonight, but I HATE that debate. The ice isn't THAT BAD. I won't say it's the best, but I am seriously over the ice debate. Normally, it's Sharks fans saying the ice contributed to a Sharks loss. Tonight it was a lot of Pronger falling down. Pronger falling down doesn't seem like a bad thing to me, but I'm not a Flyers fan. Sorry to the Flyers fan I sort of yelled at. Was not trying to be a jerk.

Oh and refs. I don't mind when they fall on their bums either. As long as no one is hurt and it can remain humorous, it's all good.

Case in point, Pronger falls, Sharks score. I don't see a problem there.

Also, I was having an asthma attack. Yeah, I am THAT NERDY. So the second is a blur of fury and not breathing. But whatever, it passed. (little known fact about asthma is it can make you really angry. Your body doesn't like not breathing properly)

I think I need to link to the highlights of Joe's assists to Heatley to really do them justice. I was one of many thinking SHOOOOOTTTT and we were all wrong.

Dany Heatley gets the hat trick. Whoo!

Manny scored two goals. Too bad one was for the Flyers. Manny being Manny?

Thornton gets his 600th assist. Amazing. He celebrated by interviewing shirtless.

Did I mention Pronger fell, because he did.

Vlasic fought. Read that again: VLASIC FOUGHT. And then said some dirty words in French. As was said by someone on FTF, tonight, he became a man.

I didn't see the fight, but (not Kyle) McLaren fought Carcillo. It was apparently epic. McLaren apparently pulled Carcillo back up after knocking him down so they could keep fighting. That is beyond epic.

New Comcast guy mojo= Sharks win? I dislike his large tie knot, l but otherwise he seems fairly acceptable otherwise. Welcome aboard, sir! You seem to know the game, and we appreciate this immensely.

Despite what you might think, Sharks fans are blessed with some of the best on air talent in the biz. This goes for radio and TV. We're therefor VERY picky when new people are introduced. Comcast SportsNet has been bringing in new people since last season and we're still adjusting.

Sharks were hitting for the cycle with goals scored even strength, short handed and on the power play. All they needed was a Nabokov goal and they'd have won the universe for a day.

Ryane Clowe had a goal. In Clowe we trust.

Good game overall, from what I saw of it. Another one coming tomorrow, also at 7pm. This time in Anaheim.

Go Sharks!
